Frequently Asked
Pop-Up Displays — Common Questions
How long does a pop-up display take to set up?
A standard 10-foot pop-up backwall goes up in 15 to 30 minutes with two people. The frame expands as a single lattice unit; most of the time is spent attaching the graphic panels and channel bars.
Is a pop-up display better than a tension fabric display?
They solve different problems. Pop-ups have a lower entry price and a very fast, familiar setup. Tension fabric displays give a seamless, glare-free graphic surface, pack lighter and smaller, and have cheaper graphic replacements over time — but cost more up front. If budget is the binding constraint, choose the pop-up; if the booth will be under heavy show lighting and reused for years, fabric usually wins.
Do pop-up display graphics show seams?
Rigid panel pop-ups can show faint seams where panels meet, particularly under direct overhead lighting. Fabric pop-up graphics avoid this by stretching a single continuous piece across the frame. If a completely seamless look matters to you, say so before ordering — it changes the recommendation.
Can a pop-up display be used in different booth sizes?
Many pop-up frames are curved or straight 8-foot and 10-foot configurations that can be reconfigured, and some systems allow sections to be combined for a 20-foot run. Graphics, however, are cut for a specific configuration — plan the sizes you actually need before printing.
How should a pop-up display be transported and stored?
In its case, with graphic panels rolled rather than folded. Rigid pop-up panels crease permanently if they are bent in transit, and a kinked panel cannot be repaired — it has to be reprinted. A hard shipping case is worth the cost if the display flies or goes through freight.
