A backlit or SEG booth wall is a combination of three things — a seamless graphic surface, translucent print material, and the right lighting behind it. We supply all three.

What is the difference between a backlit display and an SEG display?
"Backlit" describes how the graphic is illuminated — light shines through translucent film from behind. "SEG" (silicone edge graphic) describes how the fabric attaches to the frame, with a silicone strip sewn into the fabric edge that pushes into a channel for a seamless, taut fit. The two are often combined: an SEG fabric graphic printed on backlit material, lit from inside the frame.
Do I need special hardware for a backlit display?
Yes. The frame needs an internal lighting cavity — usually LED strips or panels mounted behind the graphic — which is different from a standard non-illuminated backwall frame. Tell us you want backlighting before we spec the hardware, since retrofitting lighting into a frame not built for it is far more expensive than speccing it correctly the first time.
How much brighter does a backlit graphic need to be printed?
Backlit film requires different color calibration than standard opaque print, since light passing through the material shifts how colors appear compared to reflected light. We proof backlit graphics under actual lighting conditions before final production so what you see is what displays on the show floor.
Can an existing fabric display be converted to backlit?
Only if the frame has room for an internal lighting cavity and the fabric graphic is reprinted on backlit-rated material — standard opaque fabric will not transmit light evenly. Bring us your existing hardware and we will tell you honestly whether conversion is practical or a new frame makes more sense.
What types of backlit trade show displays can you build?
Most of them: backlit trade show booth display systems that illuminate the full backwall, LED backlit trade show wall systems, LED backlit trade show displays with integrated lighting, and backlit trade show counters for island and inline booths, plus the complete backlit display booth where frame, graphic, and light are specified as one unit. We proof every backlit graphic under actual LED light before production, because the color shift from transmitted light is exactly what a screen proof will not show you.
Can you build backlit banner stands and a backlit retractable banner stand?
Yes, with one engineering note — weight. Backlit banner stands, retractable or flat, carry a diffuser and LED strip on top of the graphic, so they need a heavier or ballasted base to stay stable. We spec the base weight up front so the stand does not tip in an aisle draft, and we print the graphic on backlit-rated film so it stays even instead of banding. Expect the lit stand to weigh a few pounds more than the unlit version of the same model.
What is a SEG fabric display and how does the frame hold the graphic?
A SEG fabric display is a tension fabric graphic with a silicone edge sewn into its border. That silicone edge graphics strip rides in an aluminum channel around the perimeter of the frame, holding the panel dead flat and taut with no staples, no front zipper, and no frame bar crossing the print. The silicone edge graphics frame itself is a standard aluminum or backlit frame; the SEG method is simply how the graphic mounts to it. Swap the graphic and the frame stays — that is the whole point.
What is a pop up backdrop display and how does it differ from a pop up wall display?
They are the same category described from two angles: a pop up backdrop display describes what it does (stands behind your staff), and a pop up wall display describes what it is (a flat printed graphic wall on a pop-up frame). Both are pop-up frames carrying a printed graphic in rigid panels or tension fabric, and both can be lit from behind. If your goal is a 10x10 booth that reads as a brand wall, that is a pop-up backdrop job — and the backlit fabric version is the easiest way to make it.
