A backlit or SEG booth wall is a combination of three things — a seamless graphic surface, translucent print material, and the right lighting behind it. We supply all three.

Convention hall lighting is inconsistent and often harsh from overhead — a backlit graphic generates its own even light instead of relying on the venue, which means your booth reads clearly whether you land under a bright fixture or a dim aisle. What is the difference between a backlit display and an SEG display?
"Backlit" describes how the graphic is illuminated — light shines through translucent film from behind. "SEG" (silicone edge graphic) describes how the fabric attaches to the frame, with a silicone strip sewn into the fabric edge that pushes into a channel for a seamless, taut fit. The two are often combined: an SEG fabric graphic printed on backlit material, lit from inside the frame.
Do I need special hardware for a backlit display?
Yes. The frame needs an internal lighting cavity — usually LED strips or panels mounted behind the graphic — which is different from a standard non-illuminated backwall frame. Tell us you want backlighting before we spec the hardware, since retrofitting lighting into a frame not built for it is far more expensive than speccing it correctly the first time.
How much brighter does a backlit graphic need to be printed?
Backlit film requires different color calibration than standard opaque print, since light passing through the material shifts how colors appear compared to reflected light. We proof backlit graphics under actual lighting conditions before final production so what you see is what displays on the show floor.
Can an existing fabric display be converted to backlit?
Only if the frame has room for an internal lighting cavity and the fabric graphic is reprinted on backlit-rated material — standard opaque fabric will not transmit light evenly. Bring us your existing hardware and we will tell you honestly whether conversion is practical or a new frame makes more sense.
